i thought this song was about the deaths of close friends or loved ones and the struggle to come to terms with that "your lives were taken to early and you will always be missed ".
When a person close to you dies it's hard to justify that they have been taken from you whilst others live on but thesong reflects on the influence the person had on Tim/Rob's life.
I think this song is really beautiful and a real tribute to any loss. The last verse especially highlights how i personally felt to suffer the loss of a friend.
