I think Skye is singing about being separated from the man she loves- 3 months in here, etc. She says their love is all that stands now, which I think means that they don't have anything else- no communication, no physical contact- so if anything makes them hold on, if anything is left, it is their love. She says the streets feel strange, just look at my face, knee-deep in blood... I've been apart from the one I love now for almost 4 months and I still have another 8 more to go, and the streets do feel strange, I feel out of place, and knee-deep in blood.
