It seems the references to blood( "you can watch me bleed" ) would perhaps imply cutting or something similar, and I wonder if the phrase "one and two make three" is something about perhaps the person he loves either being in a relationship with someone else, or cheating on him(if they were involved)with someone else, and he's asking her to tell him and therefore cut him, and his love, down from the strings that keep him tied to her...At least, that's what it makes me think of...
