It's just talking about the toll of pressure from society, whether it be parents expectations (no respect in his parents eyes), moral pressure (the impurity part), and how not giving in to that pressure or letting it get to you is the way get through it. Most people give in to social pressure, therefore not giving in is the road less traveled.
