I love this version even more than the movie version, since thom rocks my socks. this song depresses the hell out of me every time i listen to it but i just can't stop....so beautiful. it's about a woman who is trying to justify the fact that she needs to get help to fix her son's eyes instead of her own because he needs to be able to see the world, and in her eyes she is past the point where her sight is necessary.
