I don't think it surprise anybody out there if Sundown is really a women of the night. Prostitutes are reputiated as coming out after sundown hence the title of the song. I'm not really sure but I think it makes much in the way of sense. It could be that the guy singing this might be deeply in love with the subject of the tune and he wants her to turn away from that sort of life. To each their own I say.
