If ever a song were written to describe the true nature of love, this is it. Probably the most I've ever been touched by a song. It seems that Matt penned these lyrics after going through my life over the previous 3 weeks; the song truly made me want to cry the first time I heard it, and it has been in my head ever since. A poignant, painful song that is overwhelmingly sad and yet still holds out a glimmer of hope for a return to better and brighter days, Let it All Out is the epitome of a love song, at once showing the happiness that love can bring and the contrasting incredible pain that that same love can bring if taken away. Love, the two-edged sword that can vanquish any foe but cuts all the more deeply when turned against the one who wields it; if only it were not so. I suppose the tragic loss of love only serves to make it more valuable, but that's a hard pill to swallow when you're lying bleeding from a wound given to you by the one you loved more than life itself.
