I first heard Who the Fuck is Alice as a muchly-cut up, happy hardcore song. It's really fun and fast, but I was intrigued and immediately thought it was Alice in Wonderland's neighbour wondering where she's going, not just any old Alice.
This is because I played the game American McGee's Alice, which is when she's older and has been placed into a mental istitution. So this song makes me think of the time in between, as if she's returned from her adventures in Wonderland, and is now being taken to the institution as an adult because no one (like her parents) believed her stories. It would also explain why no one knows who she is (perhaps she was gone for a few years in Wonderland or something).
Even if that's not the case, that's what this song means to me.
Secondly, I heard it in Russian, as a slower more folksy version. I didn't understand the lyrics in that version, but it had the same tune and shouting during the chorus. So now I'm curious to hear this version.
