Yeah, this was the first Cat Power song i had heard too. I think the song is about a girl dumping this guy, and the guy just can't get over it; "i never meant to be the needle that broke your back", "he will kill for you"... and the girl is trying to convince him that she isn't actually worth it, or at least make him think she's not; "don't look back", "i'm not that hot new chick".... maybe :p
