Also, he points out that once you're at the top, it's great while you're up there, but the only way to go after that is down, and once you fall, nobody wants anything to do with you, 'cause they're too busy lavishing praise on your successor.
I particularly like:

Because it seems to me to be about expanding your mind, rather than your biceps. 'Inside his head' is like his intellect, and how he would rather be a smart fat guy than a jock who can run a mile a minute but can barely read.
