I think that meet me in the tower is a song from a genius, even if he is a very disturbed genius. It seems to me, at least when i was in high school and found this band, to be a song about knowing you are strong and capable of letting go of the things that pull you down (like the jerk i replied to) and moving on to become the person you've wanted to be. I recommended it in a playlist for a friend of mine when she was complaining about having let her ex back into her life. He's a jerk to her, emotionally abusive and cheats. And though all her friends said she deserved better she'd just reply with "i love him". I told her to listen to this song, after looking up the lyrics, and sing it as loud as she could. It helped her to feel like she was able to end it with him and find someone who'll treat her better.
