It's someone that has hit rock bottom, emotionally and maybe physically, and is trying to come back, but is struggling. The "stolen sidewalk" is representitive of her having nothing, no where to go. She's looking to someone for help, someone who in the past had torn her down and brought her to where she is. She is admitting her mistakes in an attempt to make this someone help her thru her troubled times. The whole song is basically her fight to regain what she once had.
I consider this my song, it seems as if this song tells my life. It's odd and, as you can see, I've spent a lot of time analyzing it.
