So the whole Bloody hands thing and thing inside of the person reminds me of Macbeth.
Although is doubt the connection, the song probably means what everyone thought it was, he wants to shed his skin and reveal the true person inside of him. The burdensome stone might be more umm ever have a guilty feeling in your chest and it eats away at you? well i think its that, the thing inside of him is an obstacle or a problem to him making him feel crazy.
It seems you need to get really specific for it to make sense. But its along those lines i believe.
