the avalon- the island where king arthur and other heroes went to die
orion- a constellation, named after hunter in greek mythology
i could be wrong but i think hes saying that he wasnt strong enough for something maybe to save something/someone/a relationship? of some sort
which would make sense because then he goes on to say

its like hes saying that the pain someone is putting him though isnt what it could be so whats the point or half of the pain he could be getting is still too much and he just doesnt no how to handle it
