YES YES YES. Some of my favorite lyrics right there. It's about how we all hate the world in a way, and our violence and hate will bring on the death of the earth.
I know you posted this forever ago, and I agree with your statement, but I think that verse is also a twist on John 3:16, which reads "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." I do agree with your statement however, in that violence and hate will be the end of the world (I read a book that said that Armageddon will be caused by a nuclear war), but I thought I'd throw that out there for you. :)
