This is one of my favourite Reuben songs. I'm in two minds about its meaning. I think it's possibly about a friend, who's going through a rough time and possibly on the verge of suicide, or he has commited suicide ("Hands up everyone who feels cheated, How dare it be like this? Feel bad for the weak one i am - I let it happen")
Although when I read the lyrics again I think it's about a relationship that's on the verge of falling apart. Basically the girl is unhappy in the relationship ("The fade of your smile") and as the song goes on, she cheats on him ("Your 'two for me' attitude")
But despite what she does to him, he still loves her and will always support her. Hence the "I am always here for you". Because I think he blames himself slightly for her cheating on him ("Feel bad for the weak one i am - I let it happen"). And he still wants the relationship to work because he is still in love with her
This song is a lot more mellow than usual Reuben songs, but IMO it's one of their most powerful songs too. I can relate to this, and I'm sure many other people can too.
Hopefully they'll be bringing an album out soon!!
