"a stranger to the people I know" is like when you grew apart from your friends, and you stop knowing them and so do them.
It also talks about passing through hard times at the point we think life has become pointless.
I like the line of "Time goes by and I realice that I'm alright, you thought nothing will be the same but life comes round again" is basically saying that sometimes the dark days blinds us and we can't see the light... but sooner or latter something will begin to glow and everything will be normal again.
The chorus I believe is saying this life is so twisting and weird, that it changes with the time so is like living many lives in one life.
"To see you again is like another life, i feel the whole thing happen" is my favorite line! describing how by just watchin a person or hearing a song you have forgotten your mind transports you imediatly to other memories, to other time.
