Anyways, I think this song is definitely related to maternity and birth (swallowed out into the light, didn't want to cut the cord, etc..). I'm not exactly sure who's perspective it's sung from, but a lot of seems like it's sung by a mother to her child. The last four lines seem like the opposite, perhaps.
