Cover art for Impressed lyrics by Natalie Imbruglia

This is my favorite Natalie Imbruglia song, well maybe after "Left of the Middle" but I've never waken up at the middle of the night craving "Left of the Middle". The lyrics of this song is very graphic, and together it paints a really pretty picture of a gold digger who sold herself to the material goods of the world by marrying for money, and that Imbruglia herself is "impressed" by her.

I love the way the singer comments/describes the girl "Ice cream beauty acting on her best behaviour" "Feeling so old as the night is young" "Changing your body like you change your jeans" And the best part is when Imbruglia comments that "it's marriage made in heaven[...] (you)stealing your look from a magazine, playinng the part from a movie scene."

Instead of takign the perspective of judging condescentdingly the gold-digger the song was written with a certain tone of admiration and understanding. And at the end she (Imbruglia( reminds her (golddigger) that rich as she may be her time is running out and sooner or later true love/happiness will slip away from her forever. "Everyday is like your birthday, But the candles burning, Don't you see, Don't you see, "

This music is a combination of techno/pop with IDM(intelligence dance music) elements to it, it's a bit hard(and alotta fun) if u dance with this song unremixed
