i have no doubts this is about overindulgence. The live "more wine cuz i got to have it says a lot. overindulgence also covers the idea of obession-we want more and we have to have it. The whole bit about the river? well maybe it has to do with the river being the flow of the 'norms' in society. His 'obsessions' -whatever they may be- corrupt this flow. Just my thought.
