Well ja, i agree about the writers block, and self doubt "I have been kissed between the ears by human error"
But with the whole love thing, it seems to me like he's trying to maybe block out some memory of this girl, and he is trying to do so by writing, and he's just writing and writing until he forgets. "they're playing love songs on the radio tonight, I can't relate to that right now". It's just so bitter, he's just really angry with this one person, and he's trying to concentrate on writing...but he can't. Because in the end, he just kind of rolls onto a different track with the "you keep fucking up my life".
I love when he says "note to self : no one cares."
