Quite simply about how every religion says they are right, and that theirs is the true voice of god, and that when you listen to them all together, you see how contradictory and illogical it all is.

Hence the quote at the end of the song "if God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him", which is taken from a famous quote by the famous 18th century author, Voltaire, who in 1768 theorised that the idea of organised religion was vital to control the docile masses. For instance, without it, criminals would no longer fear the punishments of the afterlife. Basically, Voltaire was against the Catholic church yet acknowledged that religion brings social order.

Which is much the theme of this song... that religion governs the world and thus the world is an illogical and evil place.
