At first, i didn't liked this song... but it just took me to listen to it two times to realize what great song I was missing. I think that is about how the people is so fake, they don't show themselves how they really are so they have to hide behind lies. I think the first part of the song, is telling that if you are good and patient the justice you're looking for will eventually come, and erase past wounds.
"To yourself don't destroy" is like saying that the life of every person has a meaning and that people should make it last as long as possible.
I also thought of these short phrase as a way of saying that if you are not yourself that eventually will damage you, because you will forget who you really are.
