It's a cut and paste song to me. First verse...

When the day will come along And you have been there Find the angels at your feet Prone on the ground there

When the day comes that you are to die, and you find the angels lying at your feet. The chorus means that everything that he has of value here on earth means nothing to him. He says that he is not afraid of death..."Come and bury me". And he asks you plainly "Don't you see the kingdom?" He says, don't you see that it's not about the things you have here on earth, it's about how the kingdom sees you. And from the first verse...you have the angels at your feet...so "Hold your crown so high"....basically you should be proud and the kingdom awaits you.

For the second verse:

Don’t know where the angel’s gone Haven’t been there Find the jackals at your feet Stain the ground there

This is the other extreme. You don't know where the angel has gone (you don't believe). You've never been there (never believed before). All that you find at your feet are the stains of the jackals (jackals could be symbolic of those laughing at you). This time the chorus completely changes. The person is afraid of death "Don't come and bury me" and they have nothing to show for in the kingdom "Won't find mine underneath"

Thank you for posting this! I've been trying to figure out what this song means for ages. I'm not good at analyzing lyrics...
