The chorus really exudes that point, as he talks about her physical beauty and soft voice, but resounds in the fact that shes not really there, that her heart just isn't in a good place. He is obviosuly still very hung up on her, but does seem regretful for ever getting involved with her. Very good song from one of the best band of the 60's.
