Since no one else has given thoughts on a meaning, I think it could have two meanings. The more straight-forward, logical meaning is that he lost a girl, and the shouting parts (STEP UP! I SAID STEP UP, YOU HEAR ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU?!) is a voice in his head telling him to stop moping. The more far-fetched, crazy meaning is that it's about a hitman who falls in love with the girl he's hired to kill (they sent you the money, her address and the day, and the usual instructions
