I remember reading Matt (Pryor)'s post about this song on the new ams message board...
He said it was about meeting his idol (I don't remember who it was specifically, but it was someone in the music industry) and this guy was a total jerk, so this song is about matt vowing to never be the idol that turns out to be total scum when people meet him. =)
I think this song has some incorrect lyrics as well:
"I admit i regret that i'm meeting you "
"When I'm in your place I'll never allow it "
" I have made some decisions, on choices you made but i see, to my error, i've made a mistake "
@fading_shadows Boy, I'm responding 11 years after the fact. Anyway, I just read in an article about the GUK's from 2000 that the song might be about Bill McShane of Ultimate Fakebook. It would make sense ("Little Apple Girl" is an Ultimate Fakebook song), but on the other hand, UFB was Reggie's touring band for a while, and UFB was part of the Lawrence scene as well as tGUK's. I find it hard to believe Pryor barely knew McShane when they were both pretty big in the scene. Also, I saw UFB perform quite a few...

Also, I saw UFB perform quite a few times in and around Indiana in the early 2000's and McShane was one of the nicest guys you could ask to meet (the entire band was, really). That doesn't fit with him being a jerk, unless the song WAS about him and he took it to heart or something.
