this song is simply a reminecence of a past relationship. it sets up a wonderful scene of the singer casually talking to a friend who has recently talked to his ex, that he misses, but of course, his testosterone out beats his feelings, and he takes the opposite reaction~ 'just dont tell her that i miss her'
i think this song has a lesson in it. altho he cannot ever get this relationship back, and says he woudl never want to, he remembers 'all the little things like that' and still realizes them for what they were. he sees the good in teh relationship and doesnt let the bad take over. he sees what he loved too.
