This song is absolutely amazing... One of my favorites from the CD... the lyrics are quite obvious really.. i see it as a rich couple hires a pool boy(man)... who ends of falling for the wife.. and ends up marrying her and deserting his son.
you always had the blondest hair.
-just relating the blonde hair to the chlorine. there is a chemical (chlorine), almost like bleach, that can dye your hair really blonde. he was just being sarcastic about that part.

Chlorine has stripped the pigment from
your skin.
-his father is aging, he's pale, and just doesnt look like himself

The cash was worth the fucking change.
-asking "was the cash worth what you got in the end?"

At the pool from open to close.

Rake the bottom for loose change.
-took money & belongings from family members?
A job that got him his luxurious house and cars but it probably lead to his divorce.
-again, his father is a dealer & he chose the money & drugs over his family
Its probably the reason
why his son hates him.
-because the father chose the drug over his own kid
Now your blood is so toxic with chlorine that you
only have 3 months to live.
-he does so much drugs & it probably lead to some kind of disease / problem with vital organs and what not
Was the change worth it? Was the divorce worth
it?
-asking "was the drugs worth losing EVERYTHING?"
You will never see your son again.
-just basically saying I dont want to see you again, you'll never be my father again, you're just the drug now. the drug has basically consumed you.

this song really touches me.
I think it's about a boy & how
his father has an addiction to
heroin. & how his father chose
the drug over him & his family
& now he resents his father for
all the pain he put him and his
family through.
