This song is tough to make some sense. I almost think that it is somehting of being brought out into the real world, say after college or something. You could relate this to many things though. Basically, the main idea I think is that panic is attacking him before something big, that he has trained/looked forward too and theres no way to hide, and he is thinking if he can become all he thought he might.
The part I cannot relate is the needles into eyes. I'm not sure what is going on with this part of the song. Who knows!
