i cant believe nobody has commented on this song yet. I think its about having to leave somebody behind, even though you know it isnt the right thing to do, you know its just gotta happen.
I agree. This song reminds me of graduating college in the Midwest back in '82 and heading out to Arizona to start a new life. It remeinded me of just leaving everything I ever knew- Relationship, school the easy life, for a new life filled with hope. I felt scared to start over- like starring "straight into Darkness" not knowing what or where life's going take me. TP did a great job in conveying his thoughts thru this song... one his best of all time.
