i wouldn't even say that the new album is heavier so much as it is faster and more aggressive...if you slow any of the songs down to a much slower tempo it would sound a lot more like botchla or lazzaro or anything else off of tear from the red...also, the new cd is so much more aggressive. with the older stuff, i felt a sense of despair and desperation after listening to it, whereas with You Come Before You that feeling has been replaced more with anger(this is due to the different subject matter as well as the different riffs and Jeff's deeper scream). and no they are NOT turning into slipknot.
