i agree with you slicemypaperwrists...the new cd appears to be more about his family and his personal life than any relationship related problems. this song is a perfect example...from what i can gather, it's about (like what lessontohighest said,) his family, and how obviously he was not doted on as a child...it seems that his family did not treat him very well as a child, and now that he's famous they are all over him(and i know you never cared until now), but he sees right through it...this song is basically a big "fuck you" to his family for trying to be fake and attempting to make ammends with him after he's accomplished something (there is no way to make up for these 20 years). i think it's interesting that most of the songs on You Come Before You seem to be about this and similar topics (family, etc) where as the other PTW cd's up to this point were about relationships and heartache. i think it's a very interesting step for the band to take and i salute them for their creativity.
