kitkame, i agree with you that this album is a concept album, but about your idea of it being about relationships, there is one song that does not fit this...

what's your opinion on this? it could be a homosexual relationship, that's never ruled out, but i always thought this was a concept album of myths and how they can be applied to real life. some of these myths (such as the waters of brena "healing waters to be bathed in brena") and some obvious like "orestes".
now that i think about it though, if it is a concept album about relationships, "Mer de Noms", or "Sea of Names" fits oh so perfectly.
this album is so open to interpretation. that's what i love about a perfect circle. i had this crazy interpretation once that the whole album was a map of the rise and fall of human emotions, and that the Sea of Names had in part to do with the waves in the sea, and how emotions go up and down. i've kind of let go of that, but, who knows?
