yes. well, even though the song is called "Officer" I don't think it's about cops. I think it's more about those sort of people in a scene who try to control everything. Op Ivy usually writes about scene unity and such, and it says "the comparison is obvious..." so I think it makes more sense that they aren't talking about an actual cop.
