musically, the guitarwork reminds me of 'wounded' off of 'blue.' this is one of my favorite songs on the new album because its the most intense. supposedly, it is about stephan's relationship with charlize theron, as is most of the songs off of 'out of the vein.' however, the song really hits me because he describes the gruesome details of his 'hit and run,' but he gets to walk away unscathed and only stronger in the end. the whole song is an extended metaphor of his relationship with charlize. i also noticed that 'mister death' is personified the same way it is on 'burning man' off the self-titled. overall, awesome song.
