I love this song, to me it means that, like many guys out there, he changed himself to be with the woman he loves, only to find out that he lost himself in the change. Finally he realized that the only way he's going to reclaim his life is if she takes her hooks out of him and allows him to be what he was before. But because of his feelings he can't bring himself to leave her, seeign that every problem he has with her is because of what he's allowed himself to become. Granted, the lyrics from their website and the CD are slightly different than the ones posted here for some reason. The line where it says "I wanna be closed inside" is actually "I wanna be pushed aside" Which to me means he's seeking escape, not closure. Just my 2 cents.
