To me [and I only believe this because it just reminds me of something] I think it is two close friends just living life to the fullest and they know it's obviously not going to last forever, but since they are just having a great life, they never expect it to end. Then I think one of the friends dies and the other friend says he'll meet him at a star and writes this song for him. That or the friend is already dead and one night the still living one has an amazing dream just about having the dead friend being alive again.
