Also, I'm pretty sure that the story in the lyrics when you decode is about someone who tried to clean up thier life, but htier significant other didn't, causing them to break up. Thus, they regret cleaning up thier life because now they're alone, adn wish they were still strung-out, burned-out whatever, so that then they wouldn't be alone, and would still be with the one they love.
