As with many pg99 songs, this is hard to decipher. Maybe, he wants to breakup with his girlfriend (or in a more macabre approach, kill her? for being disloyal, he suspects) but he doesn't want to hurt her. He sees her and it is too hard; but time goes by quickly when trying to make hard decisions.
