Interesting interpretation about being in a mental hospital... I kind of agree with you, although I don't think the song nessecarily has to be in a mental hospital, it could simply be about being stuck in a certain state of mind which has her trapped as though in a mental hospital. I feel Katie Jane is almost saying that she is falling into nothingness and that "yesteday's hymn" can no longer help her, she needs to beleive that she exists in the here and now. The "shadow faces" and "whispered words" could be about the way other people view her and the feelings she inspires, although they could also be voices within herself which know what is right but which compell her to do wrong. "I scare myself with paranoid talk" is a line that I can really relate to. I think Katie Jane is saying through this song that sometimes she feels lost, feels like nothing, worthless and alone, and I think she is confused as to her mental state. Queen Adreena are an amazing band, Katie Jane's voice is haunting and beautiful... she is truly a princess for me. If anyone wants to chat about anything concerning them please feel free to e-mail me.
