most of the songs that David writes are fictional, thats right they are stories. but he is a very convincing story teller so I can see how you would think that "Winners Never Quit" was about David. If they were about him, then he would most likely be in jail for killing someone right now (never leave the job half done) and drunk driving (to protect the family name).
