that last verse... wow. just... wow. i think simpson is pretty much my inspiration for the way i've chosen to live my life. he really influences my style of writing as well. i once wished i could write as beautifully as he did -- and have started writing more and more with him in mind. sure enough, i've gotten better and better. i'll never reach the level of mineral, but hey -- a girl can always wish, can't she?
