Hmmmm...I've always wondered what this song was about. In a simple way, I think it could be about a sort of prison.
"Lacking integrity of design There are only for walls No sane man could call this habitat."
Because of the basic look of your cell, only alone with your thoughts and pains it's unbearable to live in the state of mind you are in.
"There is not enough space There is not enoguh peace."
This basically says the same thing. With the lack of space, claustrophobic feelings come in and you are alone to pine away in your crime/whatever.
I don't understand "The essence of conran is everywhere", because I don't know what conran is shrugs.
"We are a part of the process Not instigators of it's progress."
This is one of my favorite Earthtone 9 lines. I believe it means there is no progress of your life because you have no way out.
I know that's not really a complicated meaning, but hey, what can I say...
