thanks to bands like korn, deftones, and others from the same era that were on the mainstream (back then) I became more interested in learnig what came before them in music, like ratm, cyppress hil, rhcp, pantera, helmet, metallica, sabbath, and all kinds of bands from different genres, cause the so called "nu metal" movement was always about opening your mind and embracing new types of music, so they kinda opened the door for me to discover so much shit that I'm into now.
