to me, this song is about how somebody loses a relationship, and the guy is always complaining over how upset he is and sad and confused, and everybody gets sick of his complaining. "i'm waiting for someone to say i can't take it anymore, what's so wrong with being sad?" like they're asking him why can't he just deal with his saddness and keep it to himself.
towards the end he starts wondering and thinking again so he gets mad at himself and says "well there i go"
