This is probably my favortie Alkaline Trio song, at the moment at any rate (Jaked on Green Beers is vying for the spot). I can't get enough of it. I think my favorite part is:
and we laid in my bed like a train wreck
and we both got laid like concrete
and we fought like soldiers
but we died.. we died like flies
Really great use of similes there (even if they are the poor man's metaphor), and it seems to just roll together so well. As far as the meaning, I think suicide makeover hit it pretty damn well. Seems like he hates the place this relationship has taken him to and hates the woman that took him there. He questions their love but, for some reason, can't bring himself to leave... or maybe he's trapped? Meh, whatever.
