I agree with you to a degree, Lester. Axl does in fact say he loves this person. "Deep inside I love you best"...um, I think that kinda takes away a good portion of your theory.
Great song though, very beautiful. I've felt like this, thinking about the person non-stop and wanting nothing more than to be with them but it doesn't always end up as such which this song hints at. It just seems more like Axl was in love with this girl but she didn't feel as strongly.
