Pretty damn obvious but: it's teenagers so..
He's sicking of always being 3rd from the bottom, (pgph 1) make it go away(pgph2) sure it may be ok to survive, but he wants MORE, tired of living in a crappy apartment with no carpet or heat and a dirty kitchen(pgph3) pgph4 so he can actually be happy, even if it's for a short time if you say so, because he's not going to do anything about it, just stay the way he is, probably talking to parents.
