to me this song is about a girl who found a guy cheating on her. the rain "cleansed what she found" and yet she stared into the wind and cried. also, she tries to hide what has happened, but she cant. i think she was really in love with that person. "though we try, he freedom falls again", she tries to live again, but is so hurt that she cant manage to live with that.
